Steelworks Strength Systems hosted Mike McKenna of McKenna’s Gym and his staff of highly skilled coaches for five hours of weightlifting instruction.
It was one of the best weightlifting seminars I have ever attended and to be able to host it at Steelworks made it even more special.
Over the course of 5 hours, Mike and his staff broke down the snatch, clean, and jerk, but did it with such mastery that both newer and more experienced lifters came away with greater understanding of how to perform the lifts better, relative to their current ability.
The complex was made easy and yet the seemingly easy things were revealed to be even more complex than I had understood. After six years in the sport, my belief that there is still much to learn was reinforced.

Perhaps the highlight of the seminar was seeing how happy everyone was. So many “aha” moments in all of the lifters that will no doubt translate into increased confidence, better movement, and ultimately lifting heavier weights.

Thank you again to Mike and all of his coaches who made yesterday an incredibly engaging, intelligent, and rewarding seminar!!!
