I’m talking to you. Yes, you: the lover of the barbell.
No matter how long ago you arrived at Steelworks Strength Systems, and no matter the reason you walked through those doors, you’ve come to a realization: you like lifting heavy weights.
You might cringe when you see “pullups” or “wallballs” on the board, but rejoice when you see “snatch” or “clean and jerk”.
20 min AMRAPs might as well be hell. 5 sets of 5 back squats might as well be heaven.
Accept it: you love the barbell and you love getting strong.
But as with any budding relationship, you are experiencing some growing pains.
The Steel has made you a stronger person, more so than you had ever imagined. But lately things seem to be a bit off. Your fledgling form and technique, your rawness has forced you to a plateau. The steady progress you had been making has been absent these past few weeks.
The barbell has thrown you a riddle that you just can’t seem to solve.
Now, riddles as complex as the barbell can’t be solved quickly. They require time and patience. For you, though, you are becoming more and more frustrated.
You see that your weightlifting technique needs improvement and you know that you could be so much stronger. The Group Fitness classes that made you so much healthier, happier, and stronger just don’t provide enough time for you to tackle the mysteries of the Steel.
Open Gym allows you some time to lift, but you have no one watching each lift and giving you feedback.
Now, Steelworks Strength System has the solution.
Starting the first week of November, we are proud to announce the beginning of Steelworks Strength Systems’ WEIGHTLIFTING CLUB.
An exclusive group here at the gym, the Steelworks Weightlifting Club will be capped at 9 participants. This initial program will run for 8 weeks, meeting three times a week on Monday (6:00 am, 7:00 pm), Wednesday (7:00 pm), and Friday (6:00 am, 6:00 pm).
Each session will run 90 minutes.
Each session will involve snatching, cleaning, and jerking, as well as various accessory lifts (squats, pulls, deadlifts, rows, etc.) and gentle cyclical aerobic work (running, rowing, airdyning…yes there will be some form of cardio during each session. Do not confuse this with classic conditioning, however).
The program is an investment of $198 per month.
With this investment comes much more personalized attention due to the smaller class sizes, nutrition and lifestyle coaching, a FREE custom Steelworks Weightlifting Club t-shirt, and access to regular Group Fitness classes should you need to hit a style conditioning piece from time to time.
