In our eagerness to get to our workout, often times our warmup is of less than optimal quality.

However, a good warmup is an essential ingredient in making a workout that much more effective.

We need our muscles, joints, and other connective tissues to be able to move smoothly.

We need our energy systems to be primed and to more work.

Skimping the warmup is like carrying water in a bucket with a hole in the bottom.   Sure, you’ll get some water, but you’ll be losing a little each trip.
