I am proud to announce that this Sunday March 16, 9:00 am we will be offering our inaugural Active Recovery for Athletes class.

The class’s major objective is to provide you a dedicated time in your week of training to resolve some aches, pains, and general restriction in your mobility.  As we all know, improved range of motion not only lessens the chance of injury when exercising, but also improves performance in any athletic endeavor.

Currently, the class is scheduled to last ninety minutes.  At the end of each class, you will be able to:

  • Identify one major muscle group.
  • Describe one pattern of movement i.e. flexion, extension, abduction, etc.
  • Implement five to eight strategies for resolving dysfunction in mobility.
  • Strengthen/stretch muscle and other soft tissue via effective yoga instruction.

The yoga portion of the class will be lead by the phenomenal Jen Parisi.

The class will consist of thirty to forty five minutes of mobility work and then forty five minutes to one hour of yoga practice.  It will be capped at fifteen athletes and it will be on a first come, first serve basis.  So if you want in, email Brian at [email protected]  Remember, even Steel needs to be sharpened every once and a while…
